There are quite a few reasons employees leave an organisations, the most common would depend on external factors like the economic conditions at the time in question. For example, if you were to take a survey now with the current economic climate, you would find that most employee exits are either involuntary or people leaving in search of a more secure employment opportunity.

However, if you were to conduct a survey in more stable thriving economic time you will find that people are more likely to leave their current employment in search of new challenges or better opportunities.
