To be successful a Manager should not take anything personal. He should be a leader to inspire the members with new ideas and action plans. The members should feel proud to be in association with the Manager and in-turn follow his styles and management.  The entire team should feel free to approach the Manager and NO DICTATOR style can bring results in the long run.

In my opinion that depends on what affects their decisions, and by that I mean tow most affecting things (the managers own perspective and the work environment) You might find a creative manager but you put him/her in a very inflexible working environment that doesn't allow for innovation and creativity, and I guarantee that by time that will turn him/her into a dictator manager especially if he/she wants to keep their job. And sometimes you might provide the most open, flexible and adaptive environment but the manager him/her self is not a creative person so they start to play the "power of position" card. In my believe and experience managers should consider their work as a second home and their employees as the second family not a military site, only that way works better for both manager and employees.

My reply based on my current position as a team leader i think that being a manager in a professional company means that i have good experience in solving problems and i have strategy to lead with a smart way to get the maximum gain from my stuff so being a manager will add to me more facilities and control to achieve my job targets

Manadment has nothing incomen with dictatoring. To be Manager is to understand everything and anyone equal. To behave like a leader with quality and skills you posses in positive and useful ways so other can follow. It's not about position you gain,it's about how u manage that position. What you give and what are you receiving in return. Everything is about sharing energy and values. First of all human one and after that it's is about professionality . U can't be successful professional if you are not fulfilled personality. Thank you !
