iOS and Android are very different technologies and support very different types of applications. iOS is a mobile phone operating system developed by Apple Inc. and supports only the Apple iPhone mobile phone.
Android is an operating system developed by Google Inc. and supports most of mobile phones in the market including Samsung Galaxy, Sony Ericsson, etc.
The platform you choose depends on the mobile phone you can afford, capacity and preferences.
For example, if you are a gamer, there are some games you can only find on the iPhone mobile phone, and there are some games you can only find on Android devices.
I have used Android & iOS both, For me Android is far better than iOS in terms of: I have seen the following difference and have concluded that Android is the ultimate Mobile OS and is superior.
Freedom
Apple's iOS and Google's Android mobile Operating systems behave very differently in terms of providing their customers a freedom of using their hardware.
Apple restricts their users to store data via blue tooth and Android does not.
Apple restricts the use of SD Card to be installed on their iphones, and Android does not.
Apple restricts direct download from internet to iphone and android does not.
These three are the main reasons in terms of freedom of hardware usage according to their given potential.
Usage of Google Services
There are a lot of google services which we all people heavily rely upon in our daily life. these services are, Google Search, Gmail, Youtube, Maps, Photos, Drive, Translate, etc. They are deeply integrated with in Android that they work flawlessly and effectively in Android system. Only an Android user could tell the difference.
Moreover Apple does not offer most of these services and relies heavily on google to entertain their user base. I have missed using maps on android while having an iOS device, Youtube experience is much inferior in iOS than android. These two services count so much in my everyday life.
Value for Money
Android offers much better software and hardware related features due to its flexibility for developers and manufacturers respectively. The quality of the Android hardware has increased many fold in past 5 years and at much lower prices than iphone. Iphone always lags behind in terms of software and hardware features and they always put those features later than Android at much higher prices.
Apple charges more for their phones with lesser features and hardware configuration. Android on the other hand are much cheaper and premium looking phones at much lower price and latest hardware.
CUSTOMIZATION
Changing the feel and looks of your mobile screen display and ease of use of the operating system with the user is what we call customization is considered a very important factor. Android offers customization of ringtone, changing wallpaper, themes, Custom ROMS to get full control of your device hardware. Ease of button accessibility, changing LED notification light as per your taste. These all are the features u can change on a phone. But IOS do not allows this except changing wallpapers and ringtones.
In short, Android offers you full control of your device's hardware and software usage and appearance, whereas most of the things are impossible/v difficult with iphone.
In Android you are the master to decide how your phone should work, but in iOS you are slave and your phone tells you what u can do and what you can not.
We all have different choices. It all depends what you prefer and like. For some Apple is the best and more friendlier than any , For Android is the same thoughts! As I said, it's all about your choice. I personally and highly prefer Apple as I found it lot easier and bugs free and perfect in size and easy to repair as well.
Bith have their own features its up to which feature you like the most
The Mindset of trying for something different or to get an new experience from the existing will convince you to opt for the opposite one.
Because the equipment is not working well as expected.
