You can manage ambiguity and contradiction through facilitation tools until it is all clear for everyone before moving ahead, like: meetings, workshops, open discussions. You may need to make some compromises and collaborations to avoid contradiction.

Its matter just the way you take the situations, be cool, calm, and analytical to understand what's, we are watching and what's behind the scene really. Try to cool down the situation and take the control over the situation then find out the solution on realistically.

Manager work life should has zero ambiguity and if it is exist ,s-he should clear it for him-herself, and wipe it out.
Regarding to contradictions, it is natural to be there and every manager deal with tons of contradictions daily ,clever one who can get many benefits from them.
