Did your parents raise you to speak more than one language or was it your choice to learn a different language? What made you choose this?

Many thanks,

I think it depends on the economic and social status of the parents. They can send you to an international school where you can learn more than one language or you may enroll in a government school where you have to follow the curriculum.

My parent's taught me since a very young age the importance of education and learning. I have studied French and English in school, and my native language is Arabic.

If it was up to me I would do the same as well. I have continued to study French during my BSc International Business degree in England and I now continue to learn by myself other languages such as Spanish, Italian and German. I believe that learning new languages is very important in an increasingly globalised multilingual world - it's also fun!

I was born mixed, therefore in school, I had to learn both my dad's and my mom's languages. English was added to those 2 languages too.

If it was my choice I would definitely do the same. After I finished my BS degree I also went for 7 levels of Spanish Language. Languages are important, I speak 5 now.
