For me, the best questions are: Where do you see yourself 2 years from now and what do you need to achieve it?
These are motivating question and a liberating one. Sometime, the management are scared to ask these questions because they are having the feeling that they are obliged to promote the person but the truth is, there is still procedures & qualifications that can be explained to the associates. Sometimes company looses the best assets because they feel that they are at the end of the line, no growth are seen forward.
