having a good experience in site is enriching the engineer experiences since he is living with the site problems and practising and coordinating it on site

Yes.  An Engineer should get first-hand experience from site.  This will give him full exposure to the conditions, interaction with various entities like subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, clients representatives, etc.  Also, he will understand the requirements of the project like planning, material management, etc.

I feel as far as Construction industry is concerned having site experience at the start of your career definitely helps a lot. Working at site help you to understand the common as well as measure issue we face while practically implementing the design. This way it is definitely helpful to avoid measure or common design mistakes.

Exactly. Once after he got understood all construction sequence and techniques from site ; he can do his office job better and be a good engineer eventually.
