I think corporate communications is a subset of the marketing function, whatever communication strategy an organisation undertakes,is born in the marketing department. Depending on the situation at hand, a particular strategy can become more prominent compared to another. For example, the recent manhandling of a passenger by United Airlines personnel called more for an effective corporate communications strategy than a marketing campaign promoting the United Airlines brand. Unfortunately, initially, the CEO chose to defend the company’s work processes instead of reaching out to the client by apologizing. The overall effect was not only did the brand suffer but the company’s shares also dropped significantly.
Corporate communications always has cutting edge than effective marketing since the corporate has a certain bench mark and also may be having cutting edge o
Yes Corporater Communication is more Effective Corporate communication is broadly defined as a corporation's attempt to inform or persuade the public, including all its consumers, private investors and the media. Corporate communication represents the very voice with which corporate institutions interact with the outside world and is inclusive of communications regarding investor relations, government relations, labor relations and employee development. Where marketing communication is intended to focus on a particular product or service offered by a company, corporate communication is distinctly focused on news, strategies or opinions of the corporation that makes that product or service.
yeah , Corporate communication can have a great good or bad effect on the business . It's all about being well planned and well directed .Good corporate communications is very much like good marketing. You have a message (product) that you need to ‘sell’ to your audience (customers). If they are going to ‘buy it’, you must package the message so that they can understand it and pay attention to it. You must make sure the value and benefit outweigh any downsides (the ‘price’ you are asking them to pay). And you must reach the audience through the right communication channels. Then, following the communications (promotion), you must be able to measure the effectiveness and how well the message is ‘bought’.
Both have there own value but I go with marketing because in marketing we can easily get output of whole society
THE PLAN
TRAINING FOR THE STAFF
RESPECT THE WORKER FOR THE TIME WORK
DILLY REPORTING SHOULD BE DUN FROM EVERYONE
COMPUTERATE SHOULD BE USE DURING WORK
Corporate Communications in the Western World uses input not only from Marketing but all the various areas of the Corporate entity. For example in my case I use SEO and ensure that the Corporate message reaches everybody relevant as it goes hand in hand with the social media portfolio. The message is tailor made depending on if the Business is Private or Publicly Traded.
Traditional Marketing is always important but is relegated to second place depending on the message that has to be relayed and to whom.
No. A company's corporate comminications hardly affect anyone outside of the stakeholders. Marketing, meanwhile, is meant to go way beyond the current customer-base: to create new opportunities for growth through attracting potential customers. Marketing can bring in new customers in ways corporate communications can hardly match.
