Hello Amer
Sorry for late reply,
The first thing you should do before even making a new project file in MS project is to prepare a WBS (work breakdown structure) for your project. i.e. you should divide your project into main deliverables, then subdivide those deliverables to smaller main items called (control account).
for example if you are working with a software programming project, the WBS might include phases like1. design phase2. programming phase3. testing phase. while hte design phase might sub-include (a. setting block diagram b. setting flow charts c. choosing variables ..etc).
once you have your WBS you can should make it worthy by creating a task for each control account, and making the necessary estimations for time and cost.
unfortunately, MS project (2010) does not include a way to create a WBS, however, you can use visio to do so.
hope my answer was clear enough, should you have any further queries, please, ask.
best regards :)
