Do you think that Sales Engineer has to have financial & accounting skills before taking over a leading position?

Adds Value to your over all lead position & to oversee the financial aspects analysing the company's accounts and Balance sheet.

It is not necessary but if he/she has it can create good oppertunities for him as if he/she has Financial & Accounting Skills he know appropiately how his decsion can change  his performance but if he has experience inthis field then he may know very well about these which is most better.

Sales Engineer position is a crucial one, where in most of the times direct client interaction or interaction with client representatives is required, an excellent technical knowledge to explain about the complex product's / goods, etc is required to sell the products and additional understanding of scientific process that makes these products/goods work properly.

sales engineer shall have financial and accounting skills combined with sales and technical knowledge of the products to serve customers by identifying there needs.
