Would a company sacrifice its current employees who receive high salary for the sake of certain applicants who seek lower salary just to get the job?

Instead of sacrificing its current experienced staff for new low salaried employees, the current staff should be given an option to work on a lower pay due to the ongoing economic recession

for the sake of the company sure,that is what is happening in IT sector recently Cognizant, TCS, Wipro and other tech giants are reducing their high paid staffs so they could cut the employee cost and recruit freshers with low salary

no and never, the people who seek lower salaries to get a job are unreliable and they can quit if the find slight better salary elsewhere, in this case you will loose your good employee

The major decision all companies take is to reduce the salary of Staff to Manage company expenses in times of difficulity . Now New employees will be avalilable for lower salaries. Market is down !
