Distribution Switch Provides Centralized management and monitoring network configuration and it work in the Disterbution Layer.
Standard switch directs network traffic but Distribution switch allow different hosts to use the switch as long as they exist within the same host cluster plus it need enterprise license and it does port mirroring, can be configured on vcenter Server Level
