Describe a situation in which you found a creative or unusual way to overcome an obstacle. What was the outcome?

Once it was decided that our department moves from our location to another building. As an Executive assistant and as being responsible of over than files and archives I had to move all those archives in3 days time frame. What I did first was checking the space I was given in the new location, the space was much less than the one I already had. So, first I have listed the obstacles I had:1- the space,2- the time frame which was only3 days and it was Ramadan time,3- the quantity which was a huge one,4- the archives were confidential and I had to be present and supervise the whole process in both locations.

However, I had to go through my check list and solve one by one.

As the space was the first thing I had to deal with, I have searched the internet for an alternative practical filing system which takes all the quantity of the files and fits in the small space I was given. I have found the perfect system and after getting the approval of my supervisor, the new filing system was installed and was ready to be used.

The second step I took was sitting up the moving plan. A transportation company was contacted to help in moving the archives. I formed two teams, one to be present at the old location and another one at the new location. The first team prepares the archives for moving and the second one receives them and starts arranging them using the new system.

The last step was to supervise the transportation process, so through the three days I had to go every morning to the old location supervise and help in preparing the archives, escort the transportation company and then supervise the arranging of the archives at the new location.

At the end of the three days all the archives were transferred successfully without any problems. Mission was accomplished -:)

i was  remodeling  a villa once , the owner requested  new marble flooring  which was thicker than the tile already in installed beside that , tile glue was used and it was very difficult to remove the old tile so , i decided to install the new floor on top of the existing floor which raised the height of the floor  and raise the height of the two doors that  became too short because of the new floor .

Different answers can address this question depending on the field of expertise/work. It is a behavioral question.

As a developer working in the technology field. It's a mandatory requirement to find creative solutions for common problems. In my personal experience, finding a new generic design pattern that can be applied to solve a repetitive problem or task is an unusual way to solve usual problems.

Another way if you'd consider penetration testing for example as a way to secure websites and applications, then you'll find the most bazaar ways to find out about system failures and why do they fail. This will provide the starting point to find new solutions or enhance the way we usually think about things. You'll need to have a critical way of thinking. It happens on a daily or weekly basis.

As I'm working as a sales officer my manger asked me to maximize the sailes amount and as I was a new in sails everytime he asked me to maximize I got depressed and unconfidence. I started to think I do want to be a star in this field and I want to get more confidence and get more profits to the company. So I started to read and learn, every single step I read directly I immagened my self implementing it and I started to create my scenarios then I applied each step in reality and each time I emplement the steps I got more power, confidence and couraged.. and here I'm my manager right hand for the most big clients Thanks ALLAH To overcome any obstecle you need to face it look what you miss to overcome it. Study your obsticle from all aspects then plan, what is the most important step to start learn or change or arrange to overcome this obsticle then be confidence and strong go ahead fight for it be agressive with insist to overcome this obsticle

Obstacles....  happens more with people than technical or creative challenges. How to overcome them depends on situation and how that outcome is wanted to be. I guess that general compromise would be best solution for everybody IF the compromise is possible at all considering different tempers.
