The question suggests a conflict between the business interest and the customer interest which cannot lead to a successful business model, in my opinion, your loyalty is to your employer, this loyalty presents itself by prioritizing your employees in order to give the best service to your customers, this completes the cycle by achieving your employer main objectives, making the customer happy which generates revenue for your employer.
if you are in situation were you have to choose between your employer or your customers, I suggest you get out of this position as soon as you can as this cannot be a sustainable business and it would eventually fail.
Hope this helps
Hello, Thank you for calling for the answer: My primary focus is always on the customer and it is me who comes first, because when I satisfy the customer I will be indirectly satisfied with the employer, and you have hit two birds with one stone. Greetings, Sir.
Customer should comes first because due to the customer category "A, B or C" you choose your employee "attitude", company queuing system parameters, stock level controls and all business needs.
My opinion is customer is the primary focus for the business with out any customer we are not able to do the business and no employer,
we have to focus the customer and then it is easy to convience the employer with a proper reason to give the priority
The customer always comes first. A good word of mouth publicity is better than any means of advertising. Remember- Happy customer means better growth and goodwill for business. At the end of the day even the employer would want a satisfied customer.
They cannot be contradicted, because they should be aligned, as you can never reach a high level of focus on your customer demands unless you have a customer centrist based strategy that is focusing on this, and you cannot implement such strategy unless you rest assured that your internal customers (employees) are satisfied.
I believe they are both equally important, the employer is the one who guides you through the work and business process and the client is the business itself, but personnally I put my customer first, because after all that what my employer would want, keep the clients satisfied and always present a good image of the company, and that's the goal me and my employer are working on, perhaps we may have different ways to do it but we can work that out internally without compromising the business reputation.
