Can anyone please explain the responsibilities of quantity surveyor ?

quantity surveyor is the cost manager of a project responsible for all the related cost duties during the project life cycle ( Pre and Post contract phases) like cost planning and developing budgets , preparing BOQs, cost reporting and control, reporting on tenders, etc..

prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client, undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.Advise on a procurement strategy. Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risk.

Preparation of BOQ, Invoicing, Takeoff, Subcontracting, Change Management (Claims Management). Upon completion of works and arrangement for payments.
