A customer's thought reflects his personality or vice versa. It is almost the same in my opinion. It is not just related but I consider it as one.

A customer thoughts can affect the customer's personality and the attitude towards you and your business. If a customer thinks whether he/she needs a pair of jeans or a suit? that can affect their personality, if the customer feels that you are an honest and caring business man, it can change his outlook towards you even if it was negative before. So it can be a bit complex.
