SAES series for design, construction and inspection of piping systems are owned or operated by Saudi Aramco. This standard sets the rules and basis for selecting the applicable Saudi Aramco engineering standards or materials. For the most part, supplements “somehow “ASME B31 and namely:

·         SAES-L-100 – applicable codes and standards for pressure piping system. This standard define the applicable ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4 and ASME B31.8

·         SAES-L-450– applicable codes and standards supplements ASME B31.4 and B31.8 transportation piping code

·         SAES-A-004 – this standard define mandatory general requirements for pressure testing of a new and existing pipelines which supplements ASME B31’s and other applicable codes.

I don't agree with the term of most useful, standards should be applied as a package depending on the project or application you're using. if we only apply what we see as most useful, we will be violating the word "standards" it self.
