The top mobile apps used these days are Facebook, twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and whatsapp.
These apps allow people to be connected all the time wherever they are and make socializing with friends, family and society easier.

I have to say Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
To socialize by using their locations, it's also Facebook and Foursquare!

All the top social media sites have app on all platforms.
Facebook, Twitter, Linked in and Pintrest.
Now there are some that are as important in my opinion such as Instagram, Foursqaure, Google + Local.

All the major platforms are now having their mobile apps, most frequent updates can be seen on Twitter where people talk about their daily life faster than they breath and Instagram has beaten tumblr, Facebook in terms of Photo sharing and following.
LinkedIn carries professionalism in it's stream and growing rapidly.

Whatsapp ( Which have cut everyone from their families) 2 Facebook (Which have brought strangers closer increasing cyber crimes) which have helped many organizations to fire their employees for wasting too much time on it. 3 Twitter (Where everyone wants to change the world from their air conditioned room)
