Many teachers claim that their experience with professional development was a negative one. They claim that things they are taught they already know , or that they are obsolete or unnecessary.
Hello,
I believe that knowledge is power, and the only thing that keeping you with a competitive advantage is that you always have something to give and teach, and this comes from widening and updating your knowledge by being exposed to latest techniques, methodologies, comparisons between previous and new methods, latest methods, etc;
This what will make you always taking steps forward and differentiate you than others.
THanks for invitation,
The main change in my teaching career happned after I have attening a professional training course for " Train the Trainers", as this course is moving up my knowledge from a teacher to a professional trainer.
Thanks.
Agree with expertise.
Thank you very much for your invitation and I would like to ask this question: Have teachers already received training to change their convictions? In this regard, we answer your question. The teacher frozen in his mind and who refuses to develop should not remain in the teaching profession because it will be a major obstacle and change convictions of the first objectives of training and these teachers must be trained periodically to overcome this problem. Thank
Be a research oriented. Think out of the box. The knowledge you might have is more than enough to cover the topic or deliver a good lecture but if you do online research about the topic it will give you more hold onto it. Try to validate your knowledge with relevant examples (give references). Add a fun factor to your lectures or training (involve your audience).
I would love to wait for more answers.
I agree. Knowledge is power. On the other hand, time is also essential. Teachers are professionals that need as much time as possible to fulfill their obligations. As a result, a professional developer should respect teachers' time by researching a topic they intend to teach carefully in both breadth and depth. Topics should be recent and in demand. So that teachers can truly say " That was a worthwhile professional development workshop" that has taught me new and vital information that I intend to utilize.
I remember attending a Train The Trainer Masterclass. It transformed my training style phenomenally!
