As a photographer, do you think that the Arab world appreciates the art works of photographers or not? if not, How can we reach to this point?

Heritage and culture are central to the UAE’s national identity and there is a deep awareness of the need to preserve the indigenous culture on which Emirati society is based. But there is also a renewed emphasis on the evolution of art and photography in a region that has traditionally focused more on the spoken word than other forms of artistic expression. The private sector is also thriving and young Emiratis are laying claim to their artistic future, expressing themselves in a way that reflects the enormous cultural diversity of the UAE and the region. Dubai certainly comes alive each March for the Dubai Art Season an umbrella cross-platform arts initiative that underlines the cultural and artistic strengths of Dubai.

Yes of course the Arab World appreciates photographers. I can say that because I attend art and design exhibitions regularly. The only reason why one might feel that its not appreciated enough because its not advertised enough.

There are many more attractions in the Arab World that the people would rather go and see than spend a day just in an art or photography exhibition.

And like some of the previous answers, there is a level of decency that these countries like to maintain, which is absolutely fine. Yet, decent photographs are always encouraged.

Yes the Arab world really appreciates the photographer's work, however there are some limits in mainstream public, as it's preferable to not have nudes or too "free" visions, due more to the religion than the thoughts of the public i think !And by the democratization of the cameras with the digital era, it's much easier to get people in touch with art and it's practising

I have seen Arab world appreciate the art works of photography. But yes I would like to say it is a minority who shows interest in the art. 

To reach to this point, I would like to say we can make awareness and explain the idea behind the famous art work so they could think in our perspective.

In general, the Arab world still does not realize the efforts of the creators and does not encourage them, and this is why people cling to their tyrannical opinions even if they are wrong and most of them are forced to migrate to western countries for their awareness of their interests and the benefits that they derive from them

So we have to have creative awareness that we accept everything new without excluding one party or another

For me.. Yes, because as of this days people are not appriciate for every things in this world is the people as the old century and now our technology are upgrading every year people are changing also and arab people now are mostly for them is educated as i know they would like to know much evrythings to add them knowledge.and i believed that arab people are sweet they are loving because for me arts of works the symbol of love and sweet.

Arab World have different rules & regulation we have to fallow there rules and regulation and we have to do some improvements in such a manner they should appropriate us.

Exactly yes, We are oriental communities that have special habits.

To achieve that you should respect our community difference.

It's hard to generalize all Arabs but I think it would depend as well on what kind of photography is being shown. Photography is wide and creative. If the question is about portrait photography, then the answer would be yes, Arab world appreciated the work of photographers because there are a lot of portrait photographs of the Sheikh family displayed in publicly.

Actually It depends , Conservative type people always try to find negativity  no matter what you do, But if you care  what other thinks about your profession you can develop your skills. 

There are different types of photography maybe some are acceptable by any society or any type of people , try to figure which are appreciated by your culture then go for it.

Hold photo exhibition and  invite people to review your work. there are lots of way to changes peoples view and social stigma. 

 No .Just follow the country rules.
