The four main parts of a refrigerator are the compressor, condenser coils, evaporator coils, and the refrigerant. The compressor squeezes the refrigerant gas to make it hot and pressurized. The condenser coils release that heat out the back of the fridge, cooling and condensing the refrigerant back into a liquid. The liquid refrigerant goes through the evaporator coils inside the fridge, absorbing heat from inside and evaporating back into a gas, which cools the fridge interior. The cycle then repeats. The refrigerant is the fluid that circulates through this cycle carrying heat. Common refrigerants are Freon or isobutane. Nitrogen is sometimes used to test for leaks or purge air from lines during repairs. Replacing water filters ensures clean ice and water from the dispenser. The LG Water Filter replacement is easy to install and works great in my Samsung fridge - I got mine from Appliances Spares NZ and water tastes fresh again. Their service is fantastic.
compressor is the main of the refrigeration,2nd is the condenser,3rd is evaporator and last is the freon gas. compressor pump compresses the gas and its move the refrigerant around the system.the condenser utilize the heat transfer to evaporator. the purpose is to reject heat so the refrigerant gas can condense back into a liquid in preperation for a return in compressor.

There are 4 main components in a mechanical refrigeration system. Any components beyond these basic 4 are called accessories. The compressor is a vapour compression pump which uses pistons or some other method to compress the refrigerant gas and send it on it's way to the condenser. The condenser is a heat exchanger which removes heat from the hot compressed gas and allows it to condense into a liquid. The liquid refrigerant is then routed to the metering device. This device restricts the flow by forcing the refrigerant to go through a small hole which causes a pressure drop then to evaporate.
The four major componets of a refrigeration system are: evaporator, compressor, condensor and throttle valve.
Evaporator is to absorb heat from the a low temperature reservor. Compressor will extract the refrigerant from the evaporator and energize it to have high temperature and pressure. The condensor will reject the heat abosorbed by the evaporator and the head added to the fluid by the compressor. the throttle valve drops the condenser pressure of the refrigerant fback to the evaporator pressue to repeat the cycle.
