You must make sure the goals you set for your team align with those of the broader organization. And you must make sure that your team understands, accepts and commits to those goals. The more you can involve your employees in setting goals for themselves and the group, the more committed to those goals they are likely to be
Define the goals, think of various strategies to accomplish the goals, take input from team members as several heads are better than one. Divide the goals and try to be fair whilst using this as an opportunity to utilize the strengths of the team members and helping them overcome their weaknesses. A management/communication or work collaboration software can improve the efficiency of the tasks and also help you to manage things more easily. Divide goals into sub goals if possible or as KPIs as some call it.
Through evaluation of targets of organization i would prefer to define proper targeted KPIs for my team.
First, inform them that we all here working as one team as the advantages and the disadvantages will be spread on all of us. Second, you have to set up and explain your guideline and regulations which they have to follow accurately. Third, always encourage and motivate them to give more. Fourth, make every thing clear from the beginning regarding the awards and the penalties.
