I have to finish my tasks first then do their tasks but not forever just when they are on vacation
you have to organize the work and what is the most priority task even if it related to cover work of someone
It should be manage through the multi tasking skills and must be prioritize the jobs those need immediate attention.
The vacations must arranged according to work tasks and every responsible person have to delegate in charge person in the vacation period.

Time management is essential in retail industry nor in any field of a given firm., I ususally manage my time by giving task's to the team in which I required their inputs and I will do the final say on what is relatively essential and discuss as well on whatever is the task's required by chanelling the right rota ahead of time before the staff will take their vacation, 1 month before it's a must that the calendar is planned moreover the rota is forwared in the HR for their review in assurance that the shop floor is covered without compromising with the trading and/or operations., Hence if I find myself doing their work is never been an issue due that in the management side you have to be flexible., a good manager should always knows the operation from A-Z and if the plan has been made ahead of time there will be no risk of having that scenario to be experinced.
