What do you think about this phrase: "Haggling is for poor people and cheapskates. "?

Ask any wealthy person if they got where they are by taking every deal that came their way at face value. Of course they didn’t! They knew exactly what they wanted and decided how much they were willing to give up to get it. Billionaire CEOs haggle with each other every day over multi-million dollar deals. You only look like a cheapskate when you become petty, not when you work hard to get a great deal on something that’s important to you.

Thanks for the invitation.

I personally disagree with this phrase. Haggling is simply a healthy exchange of ideas between two people who try to turn a mediocre  deal into win-win deal to keep both sides happy.

It has nothing to do for being "poor" or "cheap".

In some cases haggling may have drawbacks as well but it is a good mode of negotiation at specific place and time.

Being circled or limited is not a solution. Every problem has a solution. All we have to do is to think critically.

I would say partly it is right yet I would think out of the box and discover all options.

I totally disagree with the phrase, it's not just right to state it. This phrase is offensive, intimidating and degrading to those for which it is directed towards. Haggling is normal and healthy for businesses, it's only that a certain proportion of people deliberately misuse it to undermine or intimidate others basing on their social status. Many people prefer using the word negotiation not remembering that haggling is part of negotiations. Thanx for the invitation

Haggling by any other word is commercial negotiations. Procurement is defined by the value proposition it creates. If we are to do our job properly we need to apply our skills to improve the value proposition, this maybe monitory or intrinsic. The uncertainty is the how this formula is weighted.
