It depends on what your goal is. The English Literature course depending on the complexity and age or grade group will allow you to apply as an English teacher generally in private schools in the middle east. 

If it's an intensive course, it might open new opportunities for you to teach English. However, the syllabus of your study is the key determiner of what skills you'll develop from your study which will subsequently determine what opportunities you'll get.
