I remember as a young child, all the way through to college and university i respected my teachers as i did my parents. My mother had always said that to disrespect your teacher is to shame and disrespect your family. Having taught for so many years i have seen the most outrageous behaviour and language in children as young as year6 in primary school. I find it deeply disturbing that this is becoming the common norm. Furthermore, how this is agreed as being common place. Am i the only one to feel this way? And if not why is this issue not being addressed appropriately?
your question itself tells that teaching has changed fast over the years especially in the recent fast. still it is a noble profession as a good teacher can inspire students and make them achieve success in life. Now the influence of technology is immense on students. They may think that without teachers they can learn things with click of buttons. Still the importance of teachers and classroom is remained and it will remain forever and teachers should adapt to the changing world by using technology effectively to teach students.
