Respect for the Chain of Organisation is supreme.
To be construtive and respectful part of the team, follow the superior than competing with him/her for ascendancy, afterall, job satisfaction lies in doing one's job properly.
Actions, afterall speak louder than words, recognition and trust will follow automatically.
Its always better to be a good subordinate counsel and part of the solutions.
