What are the best free downloaded software and e-books concerning Photoshop learning from the A to Z? Is there any free online courses can be beneficial in this field? I accept any suggestion to help.
Dear All,
= I do not know what to say, but I truly thank everyone in supporting me by his/her good advices in how could I learn Photoshop and depend on myself to do so. I have tried very hard to follow your recommendations in this issue, and because of multiple choices I found, I have decided to summarize what I understood from your optional methods in Photoshop autoself-learning.
= Besides, I have got a very well knowledge from our colleagues concerning their answers on other Photoshop- related questions. Now, I put this data between your hands to admire all my colleagues who supported me and others in getting what we hoped and to help everyone who have the passion to learn Photoshop like me.
= Photoshop is a tool, you can achieve a lot using it, but you should practice your creativity as well. Photoshop gives you the opportunity to edit images designing, web designing, retouching photos and doing creative advisement; it's a raster graphics/image editing tool and mostly used by Photographers, Designers for Web Templates, Advertisements, Mockups, Corporate Identity, and Logo design.
= I think that there is no full training of Photoshop and the main reason is that you can achieve same result by different ways, but:
a- First of all, you must be serious in your decision of Photoshop learning choice, be dependent on yourself and you must have the passion and determination to walk in this road anyhow.
b- Next, you need to learn the basics of Photoshop as well as what is Photoshop to determine the product you want to create. Be acquainted with those basics and tools as well as their uses.
c- Then, you begin your trip in watching some video tutorials, and following the step by step applications as well.
d- After that, cut the borders and do yourself a favor by downloading Photoshop program. Have a little play with it to be familiar and closer to it. See what it can do and what you can pick up. Buy the software or download trial version.
e- You can either buy some Photoshop books, or search online for tutorials:
§ You must have a book or material with practical files, try to process and execute it exactly as well as to test every tool in a Photoshop program and use it to make amendment on the picture and make posters etc.
§ Go online & download 'Adobe Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a Book PDF' for free, or pay & buy its PDF from peachpit.com, you will also get lesson files, which you can use to practice.
§ Photoshop Bible e-book or Total Training Photoshop e-books are also recommended.
§ Follow the lessons & practice with the lessons. When you have finished all the chapters, get tutorials from internet & practice. Always remember "Practice Makes Perfect ".
f- Once you're comfortable with the basics, you can decide which styles and techniques you want to learn. However, it's great to learn yourself, look into things and build your knowledge.
· To start, just use some photos of yours, use randomly the left commands on tools. Do it slowly and watch what happens to the picture: the arrow, magic wand etc.
· From time to time, use these tools until you start to memorize their function even if you don't do it right in the start.
· Start using upper commands, like going to Filters, or Image, and start applying those to the picture and see what happens: contrast, light and shadow, and so on!
· After some days playing with this, try to remember what effect you saw doing somewhere and try to reply it.
· One of our colleagues told me that the best way to learn is to follow a small project for example start drawing a small House or an object that you like, and try to complete your project to the end
· Standing practice, Self-study, consulting the experts and working with a team can be your supportive methods in your tutorial. There is CBT courses "Computer based training" which are video courses you see the professionals teaching you in the subject you want.To be unique, innovation can learn you Photoshop, and for this you need watch the work of others people
· As what one of my colleagues advised me for once; "Reward yourself if you make or learn something new". This way makes you quickly learn and definitely enjoy it.
g- You can choose going to training centers. After all, if you feel that you became an expert and you still interested, you may also work on taking 'adobe certified expert' exams online. Last but not least
= The best way to learn Photoshop in home, as well as the presence of online free package for full training, including E books, Videos, Tutorials, Self-Practice etc. and links to get online training:
- The following links will give you a simple step-by-step tutorial on how to optimize your photos in Photoshop. It'll get your started. But you will use pre-made Photoshop templates for packaging, which mean you will only make the design itself, not to model the real elements like cards, bags, boxes…etc.
- Just remember: free content doesn't always mean quality material. At times you may get great free stuff, but once in a while, you need to be ready to spend a little to learn much more and better. There are countless number of blogs and websites with good tutorials and shortcuts.
- By the way, those websites and blogs can't teach you if you are an absolute beginner, nor can they teach you how to be creative. Their step by step instructions works as a great guide to learn how to create what they have, but if you are a beginner, you wouldn't be doing justice to learning.
