That's a good question.

Interview is actually the last opportunity for you to decide whether you want to hire that person or not. The process of choosing the perfect candidate starts from the time you assess his/her CV.

Look for the following points in the CV:-

a. Skills (does it match your requirements?)

b. Experience (Industry, local/MNC/military)

c. Size of the team handled / workforce handled

d. Key achievements (look for numbers/metrics rather than general statements)

e. Qualifications and hobbies

Once you reach the interview stage with the candidate, look for the finer details about his/her personality. This may include:-

a. How a crisis situation was handled in the past

b. What were the practical achivements in in previous assignments.

c. What are the hobbies and how it is managed with work.

d. Views on family, work-life balance.

These are just few points. List is long. You may feel free to contact for more discussion in this regard.

Best wishes.

It all strts with a candidates resume his or her education, qualifications, experince in differenct organizations and how long he or she stayed in different companies and what work they were doing and what specialization. Next thing is to assess the candidate in persnal interview his personality, problem solving capacity and coping with work conditions and asking cross questions and testing the knowledge in relevant fields and asking him or her to explain how he used to work and his plans to do work within time limit and to achieve targets.
