What is the difference between a project and a Budget in reporting?

well, for me, if you are talking about a project, then you need to focus on the detail of the project, such as how to start it, why we need it, what can it bring to me, how long will it take and how much I will spend something like that, but if speaking of a budget, you need to make it more specific on why we need to do this, how much in total we need to spend on it, and how much we need to spend on each step etc., hope this is helpful for you, thank you !
