Mathematics englobe two parts:

- the first part concerns theories  and abstract concepts,

- the second part concerns all practice cases where we find the numeracy applications.

Numeracy is a concept that has evolved to reflect basic competency and skills in dealing with mathematical concepts in daily lives. However, there are differences in opinions, and while some restrict the concept to the basic understanding of concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, there are others who feel that numeracy is much more than these basic mathematical skills.

Numeracy is concerned with tha abilities involving numbers, whereas Mathematics is concerned with the advanced concepts of abstract and logical thinking involving numbers and other mathematical objects.
