Promoting himself to the mid career is the employee target in order to get better benefits and compensations. agreed that he puts his maximum efforts to get promoted.
After 3 to 5 years from mid career the EMPLOYEE will be elevated to top level and have to perform independently.
The present unit head is depending on the project manager, true, but in order to work independently:
It depends on the level of communication skills an employee had to understand the office / project reporting dynamics, excellent work knowledge will make the him to get the above which will succeed further.
So the candidates are questioned at interview where you look yourself in the coming 5 years, career objective / target.
Its the mindset and the strategy to keep pushing ourselves forward and in future to push the project forward.
