How to import vouchers from Excel to Tally?

I am using XLTOOL Excel to Tally software. But I want to know how to import multi ledger vouchers in Tally from Excel. Kindly help.

Follow these steps for import vouchers Excel to Tally -

  • Download Excel template from - www.xltally.in
  • Enable ODBC port in Tally application.
  • Open one Tally application
  • Open only one company.
  • In XLTOOL software ​fillup the data in vMulti voucher template.
  • Open MY MENU by F1 Key.
  • click START button.
  • Data will be imported in Tally.
  • If any errors occurred see the details on REPORT template.
  • Read software in-built HELP template for more details.

  • Open MY MENU by F1 Key.
  • click START button.
  • Data will be imported in Tally.
  • If any errors occurred see the details on REPORT template.
  • Read software in-built HELP template for more details.

If any Error then you can get alert in software REPORT template. Rectify the errors and process same steps.

  • Open MY MENU by F1 Key.

you can think of the types of files that Excel can export like: csv, which is commonly used in most of the programs.
