What do you do when your boss gave more tasks, no form of encouragement to appreciate your contributions to the 'job well-done medals' he got?

I allocate time for it and complete it on condition that it is of general benefit to the company and colleagues. If it does not bear fruit after a specific period of time, I set an appointment with the manager to have a closed conversation about the additional tasks and their goals. As for the medals that concern me, they are the experience to gain additional skills, not to mention a symbolic reward.

"In situations where my boss assigns additional tasks without acknowledging my contributions, I first reflect on my achievements to maintain my motivation. I would then schedule a one-on-one meeting to discuss my workload, expressing my feelings about the lack of recognition. During the conversation, I would seek clarification on priorities and suggest potential solutions for managing the increased workload. I believe in the importance of self-motivation and would set personal goals to celebrate my successes. If the situation doesn’t improve, I would consider whether this environment aligns with my career goals."
