What are the actions we can take to improve the listening skills?

Paying attention to details, remaining more silent, stop fidgeting, understand the topic sentence and main points, do not focus on every word you hear but on the central ideas, stay calm, eliminate distractions or noise, do not be quick to conclude, ask for clarification if there is opportunity for any idea you did not understand and write lesser notes than listening.
