Assuming you have already created a single line diagram in ETAP. Follow the steps below to check the short circuit current values of the system you designed. Follow the steps below to check the short circuit current values of the system you designed.

1.       Click on the “Short Circuit Analysis” tab to switch your current presentation to short circuit analysis mode.

 

2.       Then click on “Edit study case” button to add the details of your system to fault condition. A window “Short circuit study case” pops up showing various details of the case.

 

Move the busbars in “don’t fault” section to “fault” section by clicking “fault” button. Then press ok to close the pop up window.

 

 

 

4.       Now run the device duty calculation to check the short circuit values. A pop up window to for naming the output file shows up. Name it and close it.

 

5.       Now ETAP will calculate the short circuit values and will be shown in your presentation.

 

6.       Zoom in and check the values of short circuit current of you system.
