PDF is good because it looks professional and good to present.
word format so the company can copy information easily from it
I feel word more flexible
It depends on the requirements of the recruiter, although personally I will recommend make CV in Word format and then save in PDF.
It has advantages to Recruiter and applicant both.
For Applicant: there are no formating issues while printing the CV and no fear of data error of tempering.
For Recruiters: data can be copied exactly as normal document format and its easy to manage too.
PDF, because it's more secured than word
Both are good but if you do it in pdf and you want to add something its difficult
Well both of the formats are best suited for resume building, but I opt. MS-Word because every one can easily build resume in Word and get more presentable resume if using Word2010 and the plus point is any company can easily open ur reume to have a glance on it in no time whereas PDF format is not used every where.
I think "word" is better than "pdf"
