Take off quantities accurately from the IFC documents is the most challenging part for me whereas I am always enjoying challenges and I talking it as part of the work.

The part where you get to choose the quality of the work

Do I make any sense ??

Yes I do.

The pricing and selection of materials and labour is just what sets in motion the many events in construction. The part where you answer the question of feasibility of projects and the cost benefit variance that is what is most exciting about this job.

I enjoy the challenge, the multi-disciplinary nature of planning and the fact that there is always plenty more to learn.

I also like working with internal and external colleagues, developers and architects, from the pre-application stage to the high-quality developments.

It is rewarding to see the product of our hard work in the final construction.

The most challenging part is Working with the public and developers as it can be difficult at times, it is therefore important to ensure that expectations are managed as early as possible within the planning process, ideally at pre-application stage
