you can perform annealing of SS 304 (Heat to 1010-1120 °C and cool rapidly) wich isolates the effect of sensitization, removing the presence of cold work which can also affect the material nonlinearity.

Grade 304 may require post-weld annealing for maximum corrosion resistance.
