How to stop the noise in class and get the students attention?

Be sharp in asking all students to be more quite, and to give you more attention, then start some interest topic and share  evrybody in the discussion.

Simply by talking to the most effective student contributing to the noise and engage that student in the class decision!

My dear, the best thing is to make the entire class busy with the lesson in order to keep them organized and busy with class activity every moment of the lesson. It is highly suggested to use sort of worksheets and have the lesson activity divided into portions of the text of shorter paragraphs that cover specific theme or concept. This part of the text is to be followed by a set of questions that relate to this section using short phrases or answers to make each question more specific with a particular answer. As usual, make sure lesson activity grows from easy to most difficult, from known to the unknown and from most visible and sensible to most abstract part.  In addition, if you have time to prepare such worksheets or find them on the internet, you can keep other sheets as a back up for those who are somehow advanced or fast learners so that they can be given these extra sheets. I have used this method and it has been very successful to manage a class of mixed abilities and would let all get busy and involved with something to work on.

There are many reasons which  may cause negative behaviors and noise. Do you teach a tough topic ? Do the class convinced by your way of teaching and methods ? the current environment of the class isnt suitable? the current events and situations which the students are going through in that place . Anyway, I will write here some technics I used and it were really effective :

1. First of all dont panic , or become nervous or stressed , dont shout or show them angry face , dont let the students think you are out of comtrol.

2. Relax , stop and wait! You can stand in the side of the classroom , and put your arms together and look at everyone. 

3. Join their topic ! put yourself down to their thinking level , for example , after any classico , I found the class always in loud discussion , you should let some of them to speak out loud , share some opinions of them , then give them a good conclusion , and pull them back to the topic.

4. The noise could be , a sign that the topic is boring! or the way you teach doesnt suit them . Use another teaching method, such as LCD or use any Educational tools  such as Educational games , grouping , votes .. etc 

5. You can separate the students , who you think they always make noise.

6. Be sure that the environment is good ( light , air ) , the class is just fine and everyone is comfortable. 

7. Make the students always busy , they will have no time for negative behaviors.

Search for the reason of the noise, and the time when it starts, then you will figure the reason.

after that you should put a plan for soving according to what you find:

Change the mood of the class.

Share the students with new ideas.

Draw their attention to you. Traditional schools is about the teacher feeding the students information forcefully which cause the students get tiered from. Try new school by ingaging them in your lessons. Games deliver the purpose, try different games. If they are still noisy, then let each of them explain a part of the lesson. You are there to observe them and correct them and they are moving their energy toward the lesson more. Try to complement them after each lesson.

you have to make the students interested in what you are saying or doing
