As a teacher, How do you encourage students to speak English outside the classroom?

I would encourage them in their talking with friends and parents or relatives to always speak English, I would also encourage them to watch English movies as a means of adding on what they know.

you can benfit from the social media applications to connect with your students in English and to ask them to connect with each other while you are supervising ...you can this activity as part of prticipation grade to motivate them more.

First, it is essential for them to know the importance of speaking English, like why they have to learn it and how interesting it is if they do. I would show them the benefits of being able to learn a new language let alone the universal language. Show them how amazing it is that they can use this in other countries, get to know more people, get jobs faster in the future and how knowledgeable they would look if they do. 

After this, inform them to read English books, watch English movies with English subtitles, download apps where they can talk to other people in English as well as be an encouragement to their family and friends to share what they know so they can all have fun speaking the language.

Learning through games or playing together, watching english movies with the students. So you can encourage your students' self esteem to speak.

As a teacher,i encourage the students to learn english speakibg by the first move,example: teaching them how to read properly with exact pronounciation..i think,this is the best way to encourage the students,not to rely on internet..what for if we have a teacher since we r young?what is the value of teacher if we rely,watch and using internet?thats why,i suggest yo teach them reading step by step..that'all, and i thank u...

Usually, I ask them to watch films, read more and listen to music

Also, I ask them to join FaceBook so that to chat with natives
