As an editor, how you would handle sensitive writers who question every edit you make?

As an editor, I'll be very careful if I know that the writer is very sensitive and accordingly I will make the changes in the writeups. The second point is that I will make sure that the meaning of the content should not get changed. Also with this, I will brief explanation to whatever changes I have made in the content and would make him realize the market requirements of the content. 

Many agencies that you do editing jobs for them request you to explain the type of mistakes or deviations and to justify your corrections or comments. You have to meet this requirement in case you are asked to provide it.
