Since English is the subject being taught in the classroom, then it has already been established that students are disallowed from using Arabic; furthermore, speaking and listening lessons ensure that students practice the language in real time; however, due to the weak public school curriculum in my country, extreme monolingualism, and other factors, one is forced to use GTM (Grammar Translation Method), a language teaching method where the teacher uses the native language to teach the target language, English. In this case, l inform my students to rid themselves of any feelings of shyness and insecurity and to imitate in a serious fashion whatever English they have acquired through pop culture such as motion pictures, songs, and video games.

I will provide tips to the students to share each other which will be more easy to learn and communicate..If i tell them dont speak a language other than intented language no will come front to speak the language, instead of it ,i will provide chances to share the language wiht their friends, by that they will face challenges and will try to communicate using the language

another option is to share their lively experience in english without caring their language proficiency...if i give them chance to share their thoughts and experiences, it will be a big chance to practice the language

Last option is making the students a team and give them the opportunity to discuss ideas to practice the language ,it will be a great opportunity for them to make it effective

This depends on the grade level and ability of the students in the classroom.

Verbal Usage:

With younger/less capable students, I try to bridge the L1-L2 gap in translation until I can get them to internalize the meaning of the language we are using.  Then I get them to work with me first and then in pairs to practice it.  The focus is to get them producing language, not initially correcting every flaw.  That comes later once they have built up their confidence.

With older/more capable students, I tend not to need to use L1 at all and focus on scaffolding what they need to learn with what they already do know and then have them construct their own dialogues.  Role playing (plays, interviews, etc.) can be useful at this stage to practice.  Meanwhile, I monitor and adjust their language for pronunciation, fluency, and pacing.

Written Ability:

With younger/less capable students, I try to get them to write with me as much as possible and then get them to practice writing simple statements and questions using what we have worked on and making it personal to them.  I offer to supply spellings for any words that they know, but don't know how to spell yet.

With older/more capable students, I work with them on essays in class (to prepare them for exam work), but I also have them work on projects such as newsletters, blogs, "magazine" articles, and materials for verbal productions (interviews, plays, etc.).

Assisting students to be capable of using language effectively across multiple modalities should be the goal of any language teacher.  This is especially true of second/other language learners.

Quite a funny question. This is my primarily job, to make them speak - and thus what I do is speaking language with them so that they are forced to answer the same language in case they want to be heard and understood
