There are advantageous and disadvantageous of a tip, advantageous are that if a customer is happy with good services given (reasonable amount depends on cutomers heart) and its also like helping someone who might be poor but as long as if the company allows for a customer who can give a tip or an employee can receive tips allowed by the company. Disadvantageous are that money can change an employee by not working properly because he or she are used to receiving tips that can bring bad image to the company,customer care disatisfation or by loosing a customer.
The industry standard is about 10% of total bill.
Of course it depends on situation and/or concept (Fine Dining, Casual, QSR).
10% of the total bill is a very reasonable tip for someone or by determining the quality of service has been provided
The tip you give depends from the way the waiter will serve your diner if he is polite and he is not just leaving the food on the tample and goes away.HE OR SHE MUST serve the wine or the refreshment in the glasses and they can go.If they do this they will take a good tip from the customer.
Proper receiving temperature according to the item you are receiving
Checking the condition (damaged, spoiled,...)
Checking the packaging (damaged box, unsealed bag,...)
Checking the cleanliness (mainly for vegetables, insects, sand,...)

we need to think about need to revise the tipping system. The 'excuse' given is the poor pay of waiters in restaurants. This needs to be addressed by the employers (and/or legislation - a legally enforceable living wage would be a start).

well in my opinion if it was for a hotel or valet staff I’d say the amount depends on his u usually deal with him than that may vary on yourself, but if it were at a restaurant for example I’d say 10-15% of the bill depending on how much you enjoyed the service and meal.
I don't think the tip amount is that important. If we talk about monetary assistance to anyone, we need to help under a certain project. Let me to start their own business need 15 thousand dollars.
