An overview of schools today

I think there is a gap in what is taught at school and what the society demands at large. Schools miss societal applications with their emphasis on theories. The students are not educated in totality to fit in society and to be applicable. Essues such as peace education, humanity and living a balanced life are left as optional for example.

Basic life skills should be taught in such as:

Maintaining a bank account and budgeting money.

Basic car maintenance,

Basic home maintenance, and

Basic cooking skills.

Some of these things may be taught in the home, but if kids don't know how to handle things like these, it can create stress for them when they move out of their parents' home either as working adults or college students.
