I do believe that employees respect their manager (without any need for fear),when he represents an "ideal model" an his attitude during his managing role in the work environment , and when they are feeling that he is always fair, honest, transparent, and motivate for all his staff members.
Fear is not a good practice for management.
so, there is a new trend called: managemnet by love.
