ROI of print ad is more quantitative than of a TVC which is more qualitative. As I used to work in the FMCG sector, my answer is specific to this industry only and I am sure may vary with other industries. Print ads in the FMCG industry use various methods like couponing, revert with slip, etc. to check ROI. Though most people use these ads for brand awareness or to inform target audiences about special offers, the best method to communicate currently and to also have a realistic check on ROI is the digital space.
