The customer needs to understand what it is you're trying to sell. If you pitch your marketing strategy from a technical viewpoint and not what the customer wants to see, then you will turn potential customers away.

Use Apple as an example, they don't tell you about the processing speed of the chips, its Wi-Fi connectivity details, etc unless you specifically want to know. They promote, sexy, thin, ease of use, tons of apps, great colours... etc

Customer-focused marketing is a strategy where your customers are given amazing values across all aspects of the business,its important to adopt this strategy because you will make extra efforts and focus keenly on what customers need and want and in so doing you will be giving your customers good reasons to buy your stuff especially in this era where customers make informed buying decisions
