If the interest of the group has already been there then the group shouldn't place their personal motivations because this may not be much useful/advantageous and all the members of the group have already discussed before and then only they come to the final point of 'Interest of the group' rather than 'personal motivations'.

I think they have to put all their interest toward the group then that will lead to achieve their individual benefits
as it is concern to the personal motivation, then to me it is a great thing. this is because no one else can motivate you. if you are not already prepared for the motivation. so the personal motivation is the best key.
if this personal motivation is delivered to other group members and make them to work hard then it will help the group to achieve its objectives.
Make you mind first then do it. this is personal motivation. it will not work if ur mind is ready to accept motivation.
