While implementing the principles of marketing management do you think acting locally is more important? Do you believe that blogs of global marketers which have succeeded in the west would succeed here or they have to be tailor made to the local cultural conditions? Would mere translation of Google ads to the local language be effective or they have to be re written according to the local culture and customs. For example in India the American COLA giants use endorsements of local stars to endorse their products. They do not use Hollywood stars or dub the American ad films to local language any more though their theme could be similar. Is the era of the Marlboro Man over?
I'm fully behind it, If you want to keep going forward and if you want to be on top, you're going to have to look for the best and use them as a role model... Not blindly of course each market has it's own properties and it differs from others but it's about not limiting your self to your local standard, think big and out of the box... I believe that when setting goals to achieve, one shouldn't be looking at their surroundings, being ambitious and experimental is good thing in my opinion, others might have policies against that though.
Yes I believeagreed with what you have mentioned in your question respected Subhranshu Gnguly.
Thinking globally simply means bringing in innovations, improved technologies and better strategies that you can implemet in your organisation that might match international standards but yet you are acting locally.
Yes I do! Fist of all, for a child to start thinking or planning to walk to the next door would firstly start to step his/her feets on their own door step first. What I mean here is that, despite businesses would want to compete internally, they must fist of all satisfy their local market and bring in the ideas they have or have learnt from outside to improve their local businesses or industries.
This is the primary quota for international business strategic management.
